Our 2026 Friday night Opening Night will feature The Sophia Rose Quartet 

The Sophia Rose Quartet is a Sydney-based group delivering a refreshing blend of cool melodies and improvisations.

The quartet features Sydney Conservatorium of Music Jazz musicians and graduates. Run by Sophia on trumpet, the quartet features Harrison Whalan on bass, Michael Van Lieshout on guitar and Nate Griffin on drums, each bringing their unique influences and backgrounds to the group. Presenting modern grooves that blend classic jazz and funk, Sophia’s group creates a captivating listening experience.

Sophia Hunt is a proud Wiradjuri and Barkindji woman raised on Dharawal country, where her love of music was fostered at the Wollongong High School of Performing Arts and Wollongong Conservatorium.
